The best way to curate a playlist is to install ion and setup playlist sharing.
Install ION (learn more about ION)
Setup a share account – Just enter your email address and enter a user name and password.
Title and Describe your playlists: You can create playlists about anything from your favorite hobby (skateboarding, flyfishing – whatever floats your boat) to you favorite sports team (the Steelers, naturally) or your least favorite politician (hmmm). Create as many playlists as you want, give them unique titles and create accurate and interesting descriptions.
Fill the Playlist with Content: You can drag and drop media from just about anywhere into your playlist. You can use ion’s powerful media search functionality to return a rich set of media content. Then just drag and drop select results right into any of your custom playlists.

The first step is to create your playlist. Within ION, you can start by creating a playlist. Use the menu drop down or the “New Playlist” button. You can right click or control click on your playlist to change the name or the description.
Add Content to Your Playlist

The next step is to add content to the playlist. This can be done by dragging and dropping clips from your channels or from search result. Just select, drag and drop.
Share Your Playlist with the World

You can let the world know what you think is funny, cool, strange, political or important by sharing your playlist. To let others experience your playlist, you will need to create a share account. Enter a user name, password and your email address and your playlist will appear on iondb.com. Friends can find and subscribe to your playlist. You can update the new additions to your playlist whenever you want and they’ll automatically be pushed to your subscribers.

99.9% of the time, YOU DONT NEED SOFTWARE!

-I just crashed my laptop harddrive, xp system.

-Assuming you cant get it to boot back up, take hard drive out of your lap top.

-Plug hard drive to another computer as a seconday slave drive, you will need adaptors, the easiest is get an adaptor from your hard drive to your usb port on your working computer.

-when you do that, your computer usb port should recognize a new drive.

-open it and you should be able to drag your information out to the new computer.

-when trying this solution, when you try to click on your drive and it comes up with a drive error, try plugging it into a mac/apple computer. macs don’t care if your drive has errors, it will still open it. this is what i end up doing.

-my crashed hard drive was dying, it kept on stopping when i was recovering my data, so thats probably why it crashed, and corrupted some files.

-hope this helps, back up your files people! get an extarnal harddrive, it will save you headaches.
